Citrus Express

Good evening everyone, how is your Wednesday! I’ve been having a great week, super busy but it’s nothing to complain about! I got to see my best friend who is like my sister because I‘ve known her since I was maybe 9 I don‘t even remember it‘s been so long. She is the seriously the best, she finishes my sentences all the time and sometimes when I say random things that make sense in my head but come out wrong, she knows exactly what I’m taking about! Does anyone have a best friend like that? Yesterday I went shopping. I only got some shoes, but they are amazing. I can’t wait to wear them! I hope everyone else is having a great week. I will try to blog again sometime with week. Thank you so much for being so patient!

This outfit was inspired by the colour blocking trend as well as the springtime weather. Where I live it is still very cold so I definitely cannot wear this dress without a small jacket. I love this jacket because of the colour, I also love it’s boxy frame. When I don’t feel like wearing my trench or my black coat I wear this one because It’s nice and bright! I like the way these two colours compliment each other. I kept the belt simple, but the chunkiness of the belt goes with the boxyness of the jacket. Finished off with some gladiator sandals, a fun clutch, and a statement necklace to bring all the colours together this outfit shows off your fun spring side. I love orange for spring, tell me what you think?

Who wore it Best?

Dolce & Gabbana Spring 2012 Collection

Hello beauty’s!! How is your weekend going? Anything exciting? Mine has been busy with work and friends! Thursday I saw one of my good friends we went for supper and then did some shopping. Today was such a gorgeous sunny day, but unfortunately I was inside all day so I did not get to enjoy it! Did anyone enjoy the sun? Or what was the weather in other places? I am going to try to blog more, but work has been taking over my life lately. But I have been so excited about this new blog post, I’ve been working on it for a while. So I hope you enjoy! Leave a comment down below!
 Selena Gomez
 Megan Fox
Ashley Greene

So three celebrities were spotted wearing the same skirt! Who wore it best? It is so hard to decide. I love how Selena Gomez wore the whole outfit like on the runway, she only took off the buttons in the middle of the bralette. Personally I would definitely wear it like she wore it. It’s a fun outfit to have say in the summer at the lake? I’m not a fan of the way Megan Fox wore the skirt. Maybe she was trying to make the outfit more business-like? I love the top and love the skirt, just NOT together. Ashley Greene’s tank top was very cute, that would be a nice day-time casual look. Throw on a cardigan or blazer and your set for a day of work, school or running errands. For a daytime to nigh time look you could wear Ashley Greene’s version for day, and Selena Gomez’s/Runway for night. Both are super elegant. I love
Dolce & Gabbana they are one of my favourite designers. Check out the rest of the spring 2012 collection. I would love to know what you liked! Also leave a comment saying which version you liked better, Runway, Selena Gomez, Megan Fox, or Ashley Greene.

Thank you so much for reading today, your the best!!!

Springtime Sassy!

Hello lovelies! How is your day going? Yesterday I visited some friends that I haven’t seen in a while. It was great to catch up, and enjoy each other’s company. One of my friends is travelling to another country on Friday so I had to say my goodbyes! I am so excited for her, it’s going to be an amazing trip! I have an exciting weekend/week planned for myself. I will keep you posted! Do you have any plans for the weekend?

This outfit was inspired by the pants. I’ve been seeing one coloured outfits everywhere and I had to try it out for myself. Wearing one colour top to bottom can be tricky but I will give you some tips.
1. Make sure the fabrics are different. My pants are cotton and my top is jersey.
2. Have the pieces a little different in colour, but in the same colour family. The pants I am wearing are a light pink, and my top is a light coral pink. This way we are still in the same light pink family.
3. Keep your accessories neutral. My wedges are nude, the earrings, one of the bracelets is nude, and my necklace is gold with pearls. Your probably thinking “She’s wearing a bright yellow belt, that’s not a neutral colour!” Your right it’s not, but I wanted to break up with pinks with some colour, and add a little colour blocking! This outfit is super fun but very different. I love breaking fashion rules. Do you?

Backwards Cardigan

Happy Friday everyone! Tomorrow is the weekend, have any plans? So lately I’ve been reading this book called “Little White Lies” by Gemma Townley. It’s turning out to be such a good book. I have to admit it took a little while for me to actually get into the book because of all the background information that you had to know but now I am liking it. I would definitely recommend it. The main character works at a high end boutique so the book talks a lot about designers which I love. Anyone read any good books?

So lately I’ve been loving the colour orange and when I came across this cardigan in my closet I knew I had to showcase it in my blog. The thing was I wanted everyone to see the great white buttons so instead of buttoning it up in the front I switched it up and turned it around to the back. I know you might not necessarily thing of this when your trying to get dressed but I love the way this cardigan can be so versatile. I added a white collared shirt underneath to play up my neck and match the white buttons. A light layered necklace gives the top more colour and pulls the outfit together. Finishing the look with a large bag and flats this outfit is great  for errands, hanging with friends, or even at work.

Blue Pants: H&M

This is a dream come true for me, thank you for taking the time to read!

Warning: Extreme Colour Blocking

Hi friends! How are you! How was your Easter? Mine was simply fabulous, I had such a good weekend. I ate lots of chocolate, plus my mom made a delicious Easter supper! Yummy!! But now I am sick, apparently there is a bug going around. Most of my co-workers at BOTH my jobs are sick so I really didn’t have a chance of dodging this virus. Luckily I had today to rest and recover so I hope to feel better tomorrow. Is anyone else sick? Did anyone have an Easter egg hunt? We did, and we are still finding eggs around the house. I love finding chocolate when your not even looking for it! LOL

This outfit was inspired by the runways. I’ve been seeing colour blocking everywhere recently and I needed to try the trend of for myself. It is a lot of fun, and definitely brightens your mood. I love it! So pink and orange are perfect colour blocking colours, but I decided to add a little yellow to the mix. It makes the outfit pretty extreme, but with fashion you have to take chances. I love the pop of yellow to this outfit, as well as the darker orange sandals. It’s not your everyday colour blocking outfit. To pull the outfit all together I added a simple necklace. This outfit does not need a lot of jewellery because of all the colour. If you add jewellery it might take away from the great colours. What do you think of colour blocking!

Time for Spring!!

Hey hey how’s your day? Haha that rhymed!! But I hope your having a good weekend! Today was such a beautiful day in BC, I tried for a tan. Keyword tried! It’s not that hot but I really just enjoyed the sun I’ve missed it since I have been back from Mexico! By the way do you like my Mexico posts? Did you want to see pictures of where we went and what we did? Leave a comment!

Trench coats are a must have for Spring! This was a test trend, I bought this coat at Papaya for maybe $25. I wanted to see if I liked the trend and if it would stick. So far I’ve loved this jacket and have had it for about two years now. I’m thinking it’s time to invest in a good quality trench. It’s very popular for spring, plus I love it because you can get rid of the heavy bulky winter coats. I kept this outfit light for spring and added a light wash denim. Spring is very unpredictable and sometimes it can just pour rain for 10 minutes and be sunshine the next. I added the boots because of the rain sometimes during the day. I kept the boots light, to match the outfit. This is a very ready spring look. A good way to get rid of some old clothes it ripping them up and making them into scarf’s. This is what I did with my purse. I wanted to add a little pop of colour to my outfit so I added a scarf on my bag.

Mint in Mexico

Hey beauty’s! How is everyone’s day? Today is a very special day for me, and a lot of other people. I hope you spent it with family and friends! It was another sunny day today, unfortunately I’m not feeling to well so I didn’t get to enjoy it. Has anyone seen Jane by Design. I love that show! I just discovered it last week and I’ve been obsessed with it. The stylist for the show is very talented I love what they all wear. They also show the new trends coming up. If you haven’t seen it you should check it out! Also leave a comment what your doing this weekend, I would love to know!

This outfit was inspired by the romper. I wanted to add some colour to it, so I added mint. Mint is a very popular colour for spring and it’s also one of my favourite colours. I wanted to add minimal colour so a cardigan is a good way of doing it. The romper is so cute, I found this gem in Mexico last year being sold by one of the vendors. I love dressing it up and down for events and for daytime. It also is a piece that can be worn all year around because of it’s versatility. I also found the necklace in Mexico being sold be a vendor as well. I love the chunkiness of this necklace but also the shell is very pretty. To finish off the look I added one of my “go to purses”. This purse it great because it’s small for travelling as well as it can be worn over the shoulder so its on you at all times. The white flats also match the purse and necklace. This outfit was super comfortable and easy. Just be careful when you have to go to the washroom, rompers are a little hard to get out of. LOL

Flower Power (In Mexico)

Hey friends! How are you today? I’m having a great day because it’s sunny and bright outside. The sun always makes me so happy, I love it! We have had a long rough winter this year and to get bright sun like this is a blessing. How’s the weather in other parts of the world? So Easter is coming up on the weekend. Does anybody do anything special? Easter is one of my favourite holidays along with Christmas!

I love this dress, it’s so unique. My favourite part is the back, the cut out is fabulous! I love floral prints anytime of the year, but what I love about the print it the colours. There’s a lot of great colours that you can pull out in this dress. Plus all maxi dresses are SUPER comfortable. So as you can tell I adore this dress. I found this great necklace in my mom’s closet and it goes perfectly. It matches the colour in the dress completely also the flower goes with the flower in the dress. I couldn’t ask for anything better than that. I paired it with some simple nude sandals and a quick hot pink clutch to make this outfit beach ready. I was in Mexico here so I have to be comfy!
