serious for plaid

These days I feel like time is slipping away. I wake up, and then sooner or later its night and I’m back in bed again to sleep. Once I left high school time started slipping away, but it slipped away for the better because in college all I wanted was to get on to my next phase in life. Well here I am in that next phase, and I’m still unsure of the future. I keep hearing “Your only 21, you’ve got lots of time to figure it out”. I just want to know right. Now. But the beauty of it is that God has our future, he knows what’s going to happen.

The secret to styling daytime is balance. Taking something casual, but dressing it up. Or taking something fancy, and dressing it down. I love the combination of something unusual about an outfit. Plaid reminds me of those jack coats that farmers wear, but plaid can get dressed up as I’m showing here. It can be worn a thousand different ways! How do you wear your plaid??

Polka Dot.

There’s something about a good polka dot that looks so cute and pulled together. It’s incredibly easy to style, and this particular H&M top is super comfortable. Whenever I’m not sure, or have trouble picking out an outfit I tend to reach for anything polka dot. In western Canada right now it can be sunny one day then rainy and cold the next. The vest I’m wearing is quite warm so to avoid a jacket I wear this fur lined almost suede like vest. Some days I just don’t want to wear a coat, you know? All that bulk from winter I just want it to go away and stay away for a while. Let me know what your spring layering piece? Leave a :) below if your reading this!

Festival Fashion

It feels so good to be blogging again. This space is free to express my/your opinion on fashion, style and what's trendy.
In honour of Coachella happening right now, I created a look that was inspired by festivals. The number one piece I see at music festivals is fringe, lots of it! This year the top trend is fake tattoos, I think there a cute accessory. Not completely sure if I would wear it, but I haven’t tried it yet so I can’t judge. They replace jewelry, which is nice because when you’re dancing in crowds you don’t have to worry about a bracelet falling off. Are you planning on going to any festivals this year? What are your must haves? Let me know below!
