Hello beauties!! I hope everyone is having a fantastic weekend, sleeping in, catching up and having fun! This weekend I am attending the Esthetique Spa International show in Vancouver. My mom is a nail technician/esthetician, so I am coming along as her plus one! I love checking out all the new nail, makeup, beauty and skincare lines. It’s definitely an enjoyable conference. We are staying right downtown, which makes it even more exciting! Any good coffee recommendations in Vancouver? I lived in Vancouver a couple years ago, and I still like to be a tourist in my own city! I will never stop exploring! Who's feeling the itch to pull out their spring/summer clothing? I sure am, I love this top because it can be worn in any season because of the black. Originally this top was my mother's when she was in her 20's but she passed it down to me, aren't I lucky? What is something special your parents have passed down to you?
Have a great Sunday!

Winter favourites time.

I’m so excited because today I’m sharing my winter favourites! I’ve used most of these items everyday, and seriously can not get enough! Here in the fraser valley it gets pretty cold, and lately we have had very dry cold winds. So to hydrate my skin and keep it looking glowy I’ve been using the Caudale Paris moisturizing mask, you can leave it on for 15 minutes or overnight for extra moisture! Its helped my skin immensely. Another great mask is The Body shop’s vitamin E sink-in moisture mask. It smells like rose heaven and the texture feels so nice. Even though I’m only in my 20’s it’s very important to protect the eye area, and my go-to is the Clinique “all about eyes rich”. It is a great product, I use it morning and night and gets rid of my dark circles immediately which is an absolute lifesaver for those late nights watching pretty little liars am i right?? Two make up items that I’ve been loving is the Laura Mercier Eye Art Artist’s palette, some really nice shadows to work with. I do not own a lot of purple eyeshadow, so it’s been a lot of fun playing with these colours. The Laura Mercier face illuminator powder is a great highlighter, it looks still natural but adds a bit of shimmer. I can’t forget about my goody detangler comb, seriously has changed my life! I brush my hair out right from the shower and no more ouch with this brush, it’s amazing! To finish off my winter favourites, the eye mask! So essential for me, I cannot sleep without it, it’s an instant relaxer! The ring in the middle is by Marc Jacobs and the bracelet is from Forever 21. Thank you for reading! What have you been loving this winter, leave a comment! XX

Sparkle Sparkle.

Hello!! How was everybody’s Christmas and New years? I had such a wonderful break off, really spent time with my family. My sister and brother in law came to visit us from the Dominican Republic. We took them all around Vancouver, started our day with  “Fly over Canada” at Canada Place. It is definitely a MUST see for any tourist or anyone from Canada for that matter. We sat in what looked like a roller coaster ride with seat belts and then were pushed into this huge screen, our feet were dangling off the edge. It was meant to feel like you were actually in a helicopter flying. It was such a beautiful movie, with sprits of rain falling on your face going through Niagara Falls, the smell of evergreens going through the forests of BC, and beautiful views of Toronto, the Badlands, and the Okanagan. They had a Christmas special at the end of the movie and we flew through Santa’s workshop. I for sure pay to see “Fly over Canada” again. Another highlight of Christmas was tubbing at Manning park, something i’ve never done before and i’ve lived here all my life. If you follow me on instagram you would see my pictures over Christmas (@julieaaane) It was an absolute blast! What were everybody’s highlights?

Spot on.

I quite enjoy change. It feels like the world is constantly changing, how do we keep up? Change of government, iPhone updates, and fashion. If you asked me two years ago I would have said I disliked change immensely! The thought of moving my bed to a different place in my room freaked me out or parking on the other side of the garage. As I get older, I accept change a lot better. Living in London, England grew me so much as a person sometimes I cannot remember the person I was before I left. It forced me to like change. So here are a few steps to help with change.
1. Pray. I cannot stress this enough! God can truly change your perspective on things. It happened to me two weeks ago. I went to bed feeling one way, and the next day I woke up feeling completely different, and extremely confident. After spending the day with God and really thinking/praying I saw how he changed me. And this change was certainly for the better.
2. There’s always a reason behind change. Whether it’s moving your bed to face the window, or buying a new car. Think of the positive, having your bed closer to the window you will get more air flow at night which is better for breathing. Buying a new car, the car will be more reliable, and more fun to drive.
3. Nothing is forever. Shoes wear out, people get older, and trends fade. Once you come to terms with that, life gets easier. Our world needs new things to grow and advance.
4. Know the truth, and what’s important. It’s easy to freak out over small things, but when it comes to a loved one passing away how are you going to react? There are bigger things in the world than changing all the pens at work. Maybe you liked those old pens, but you might like this new pen better. That sounds silly to get upset over it but we can’t sweat the small stuff. Let it go, be mature and prioritize.

Sport N' Go.

Happy Friday fashion friends! I can’t wait for this weekend, its felt like such a fast week. Definitely have some catching up to do. How was everyone’s first week of November? I still feel like its fall, but there has been a serious chill in the air. I’ve loved cozying up by the fireplace after work with my hot chocolate. Almost time for some Christmas decorating!

Fallin' for Fall

I’ve gone completely fall obsessed. There’s something about this time of year that is absolutely breathtaking beautiful. Everywhere I turn there’s a pretty landscape. If you haven’t been to British Columbia in the fall, you must! Being completely inspired by the fall, I picked up this dark vampy lipstick by L’Oréal. 741 Bold, lined with L’Oréal infallible Plum. I can do a full review if you want. This dress is prefect for fall, I love long sleeved dresses. They make for such a comfortable easy outfit, paired with boots to stay warm. The dress material is not too heavy, which makes for a good summer dress as well, it’s certainly one of my favourites. What do you love about fall? Or what’s your favourite season?

Simplicity.

Simplicity. To simplify your life, your wardrobe, and your house is incredibly hard. Coming from North America, the more you have the better your life. The “I want’s” and “I needs” are very powerful. This past summer I got rid of everything, and I mean everything! I only kept staple pieces, and a few of my favourite items. I sent about two tubs of clothing, and a garbage bag full to goodwill. I thought, “Why do I need any of this, it’s weighing me down”. My style is changing all the time, and the more I get older the more I want quality over quantity. When I was in fashion school I wore every item in my closet twice. No more, sometimes only once. Today I think that theory is crazy. Style is always changing, and I love the classic, simple pieces. No more trying to match my pink dress with my pink blazer or “black is boring”. Simplicity.
