Spring wants & must haves!

Good morning/afternoon/evening whenever your reading this! Today I am sharing with you some of the things I am wanting for spring, ranging from fashion, beauty and home. I'm dying for that slip dress by Plenty, it's so gorgeous. While I was shopping downtown Vancouver this weekend I noticed that slip dresses were everywhere in the stores. Definitely will be a hot thing this spring/summer. I am a huge fan of neutrals/minimalism, but I also love a good pop of colour. I have also been loving ring stacking, and the opal stone is beautiful. Moonstone is also very similar. I chose to feature the Opal Pip ring handmade by Clair Kinder, but I also really love the Indie & Harper website for opal jewels. They have a ton of variety, and beautiful items. What have you been loving for spring? Enjoy your weekend, get excited for #traveltuesday coming at you on March 7th :) xx

Velvety love.

Burgundy velvet top from Urban Outfitters
White Cable knit sweater from Kersh
Dark blue skinny jeans from Marc by Marc Jacobs
Black riding boots from Macy's

Sundazzz. A day to rest and relax your soul, while being grateful to the one who created it. I hope everyone is relaxing at home with family, friends and a good cup of coffee today. I personally think Sunday is the best day of the week, starting off with fellowship. What is your favourite part about Sundays? Our weather has been up and down this winter, a little snow here, and a sunny day there. I love winter because I can layer lots of sweaters and be super comfy. I love working with different textures in winter to add different dimensions outfits. I paired this velvet top with an oversized cream cable knit sweater. It’s unexpected to take more of a fancy top and make it daytime, but I think that’s what fashion is, creating something unexpected. Let me know in the comments what your must have winter item is?!

Mixing Prints

Hey guys! As I am writing this blog post I’m watching fashion police while the sun beats down on me. I’m back in my hometown just for today and tomorrow. My friends and I are going on a little plane ride around our town. Shhh, I have a secret. I am a little scared of heights. Living in a high rise building in Vancouver, I kind of got over my fear. But we are going to be in a little cramped space (I’m claustrophobic) and going very high. I am very excited for this experience because it will be a once in a lifetime chance, but I’m scared! What are you afraid of? Let me know in the comments below!

One of my best friend’s loves to mix print. I think she wears two prints almost every day. So this outfit was inspired by her. I wanted to start small and mix prints that I knew would go together, black and white always look good together and stripes are very trendy right now. I love the print on the dress, this outfit works well together. To finish off the look I added my favourite sandals.

You make me glow, but I cover up won’t let it show :)

Hello friends! How are you today? I cannot believe today is the second of March! Time is just flying! The days are getting longer and we are getting a bit of sun here and there. Mostly rain though, which is unfortunate. I can’t wait for spring! What’s everybody’s favourite part of spring? Mine would probably have to be the bright colours and the lovely flowers. OH! And Easter is coming up, that’s my second favourite holiday. Right now I am watching a beautiful sunset, all day it rained and now it’s gorgeous outside. What is everybody doing for Easter? I am going home on the 13th of March and my family and I are going to celebrate Easter then because my mom will be in the Dominican Republic for Easter! I know right, I’m jealous to! :) Leave a comment below!

So this outfit was pretty much inspired by the cold weather. It’s rainy and cold outside and I just wanted to be comfy. This is my absolute favourite sweater I bought at Forever 21 last year. I love it to death and wear it all the time. It’s great because it has a little shine to it, which makes it super girly and fun. I decided to pair it with jeans and boots and just be comfy. The boots are by Steve Madden and they are my absolute favourite because they have a little heel and they are casual yet dressy. I’m scared when they wear out; I’m going to cry because I love them so much. Do you have that one item in your closet that you can’t live without? The boots would be mine!
